You may recall I had a rattling heatshield frightening the life out of me with a horrid rattle.
Today the stars aligned and I got a drying opportunity to have a look.
The shield itself was tight however, I pushed the top heatshield screw and the front downpipe moved. I threw some light on the subject with a small torch and the entire front downpipe was moving in the clamp.
I tested the bottom bolt and it was tight. So I tried the top bolt and managed 3/4 of gentle turn, (I had Mr B in my head saying "don't break that f@#ker") and now the pipe is solid.
Road test to Kent tomorrow.
