The new weapon has developed a rattle in the cam chest area. I've done just over 1500 miles since I've had it and it basically started after the weekends long run ti the reps meet.

Am I probably looking at cam chain tensioners? It tends to go away under throttle and is noticeable on the overrun.

I'm going to get it professionally diagnosed then get a claim into the warranty company.

If I didn't have bad luck I'd none at all

It's a 110" Motor so my guess would be Lifters, but I stand to be corrected.
Speak to Alex, he's your Man for the Job.

Strangely the noise has stopped this morning.

I'll see what happens today. It may have just been the cold last night

Ah, my mistake.
Whatever it turns out to be, good luck with it.
I've just had to blow almost £2500 on Repairing a 20k Miles old BMW GSA so my thoughts are with you!!
