Hi Skip, that Koslow engine is a interesting thing. There is lots of details about it on line. Good find.

I know you're into aircraft as well as bikes and on the news this morning there was film of a blue Pitts S-25E Bi-Plane fitted with two jet engines. It took off and then went straight up like the old English Electric Lightening, impressive. The pilot also had it flying almost sideways down the runway.
I think the pilot and builder is Rich Goodwin. Worth a look.

Koslow, plenty of info on line yes.
I've tried to put these threads up with little typing and fewer links, allowing the pics to aggravate the curiosity of others into looking the subject up for themselves.

Pitts are so stubby and fast and sooo manoueverable that I get eye-ached trying to follow them. Jet engines attached; seems gimmicky to me. Stewart is better, Bob Hoover was the best of them all.

Whenever I see a Pitts Special I always wonder how one would have been with a couple of Vickers in World War One..?
