Re: Show us your old girls

1947 FL in 58-64 frame, on a cross country trip with the GF in the states, about 1980. Nice picture when the paint was fresh and looking good. The other pics I have of it arent as shiny.

Re: Show us your old girls

Back into Harley ownership again with this 72 xlh, has a nice button on the handle bars to
start this one with :encouragement:$_86.jpg

Re: Show us your old girls

Getting more and more desirable those old iron heads. That looks like a nice one.

Re: Show us your old girls

Couple of additions to the pan. The electroline light was a bit tricky to fit, but Chris at Fullbore did a great job. 6B30AA76-991E-4B78-9211-8DB6CC760FF1.jpg

Hi - I'm Steve, from London... was a member long time ago, but my old 45 has been off-road for an embarrassingly long time, due to back trouble (mine, not the bike!) Does anybody know anybody in the London area who can help me end this extended hibernation?

Hi Steve, where in London are you?

Newly acquired wla from Belgium. I think it’s an older restoration that’s been sat for some and some fettling is required, but she sure is pretty.
77flh in it’s finished state, and a friends 74xl that I rebuilt for him

Did they know what it was...?

If you are referring to my WLA pic, I would say that the vast majority of people I spoke to did. The guy camped next to me used to have one (bought in the 1980s when he was in the former Yugoslavia for about £150, allegedly) and another guy I spoke to has built several. One or two others had owned them in the past. I went to an event of an ex HOG club a couple of years back and I am not sure there were any bikes as old as evos, but this rally was a bit different. I saw a very nice shovelhead, quite a few evos etc

Having said that, I'm sure there would have been some relative newcomers to the Harley scene who would never have seem a 45 in the flesh.
