Yakang Expressway

Knowing Chinese construction methods come with innate corruption to the core, I'll take the low road.

At 1:36 you can see on the lower pier the builder's cartouche', "L-E-G-G-O".

Frankly scary; that barrier and the 300ft drop to the valley floor are only a short skid away....I've been driven on Chinese roads. Their motorways are mad, and driving rules appear optional. That said, there's a road near me in Derbyshire that's been closed for 4 years, whereas to give the Chinese their due, this road was probably knocked out in a weekend.

I can't comment on Chinese standards but they won't have built it to fall down. It's an amazing achievement in any case. I wouldn't go near it myself 'cos I hate heights and to me it looks like the scariest road on Earth.
