Charger Wires Mixed Up

I accidentally stood on the wires pulling them out of the Plug that goes into the bike. It’s an Oxford Charger with Two Black wires but I’m sure the positive has grey strips. I have rewired with this in mind but reluctant to attach and switch on. Any Ideas Please. Thank You

I dont know if yours has this but most modern chargers have a reverse polarity check built in and tell you by LED's normally, check your chargers info.

If you have a Multimeter you can tell easily which is the positive (live) coming out of the charger.

Oxford Chargers have a reverse polarity protection which will come up as an indication if the wires are the wrong way round.
