Combining a bunch of scanned pages.....

:apthy:.........in preparation for my move back to Oz, I need to combine a bunch of scanned pages into a single document for the Australian bureaucrats to gorge on. I know I can do this with word but, it's clumsy and error prone. Does anyone know of a program that I can use? Once I've done the batch of documents I'm not going to be using the programme again so, I don't want to have to sacrifice my first born to pay for it.

Re: Combining a bunch of scanned pages.....

Try this Mark

  1. Open the IJ Scan Utility from your Desktop or the Canon Utilities listing of the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).
  2. Click Settings.
  3. On the left, click the 'Scan Document' tab.
  4. In the 'Save Settings' section, click the 'Settings' button.
  5. Change the Format option to 'PDF (Multiple Pages)' and click OK.
  6. Click OK at the bottom of the Settings menu.

Once this has been done, click the 'Document' button in the IJ Scan Utility to begin scanning the PDF file.

Re: Combining a bunch of scanned pages.....

This may seem a bit longwinded but a non-expert solution i did was to post the pdfs into a word document the save the word document as a multipul page pdf.... oops correction, thats if its scanned as an image file not a pdf.
