For some reason the fuel guage on my 'Rod has decided it's amusing to plummet like a stone after 40 miles or so, to hang about showing empty with the fuel-low warning light on for around 5 miles, then to rise again like bloody Lazarus back to where it was originally. It does this at with every fill up, has done for a couple of years now.
Now I know it's not exactly a problem, bike's just showing a bit of 'individuality', but if anyone has any idea what causes this regular spasm of dodgy reading, and how to rectify it I'd be most grateful

Have a look on 1130cc.com I`m sure there was a post on dodgy fuel gauges, HD are aware and a replacement part is available if you push your local dealer. This is a USA site so it may not have filtered over to the UK yet, regards, Daz.
