Engine year and type

Hi everyone trying to rebuild my harley engine but I can't work out what year and what type it is.
the log book says its a 1200xl sportster 1994 it is in a different frame so I can't read the vin number CAN YOU HELP.
engine number is CAMJ115012
as I keep getting the wrong parts and manual

Tried sportsterpedia and your ca number is saying its a late 94 xlh1200 which prob means 95 model year bike as they used to launch new models around october for the following year

CA means XLH, M is for 883cc and J is 1988 - 115012 is the serial number.

Nice one Paul i found the sportsterpedia listing difficult and thought i sussed it bit worrying it lists it as a 1200 on a 94/5 well inaccurate

The big difference Add , if its an '88, it'll be a 4 speed.....Nice
