Just asking would it not be ok to put a couple of up to date bikes on show. Like a gert big CVO M8 dresser (sort of bike people like to identify with Harley) and yes a Pan AM even?

We did try newer bikes on the stand a couple of years ago, but with it being a classic bike show its more appropriate to give the stand space and associated entry pass to club members who own classic and older bikes. The majority of the entry fee paying public go to the show to see older bikes rather than current bikes that can be seen in the local HD dealership. Concentrating on classics and older bikes, also differentiates us from the HOG stand which usually has two or three modern Harleys on it. Plenty of opportunities for the newer bikes to be shown off throughout the summer.

Aah there will be a HOG stand there then ??

Usually at least one HOG chapter in attendance, sometimes two. The bikes on their stands are usually reasonably new bikes and not usually in keeping with the classic bike theme of the show. We always go over and say hello to them, but they don’t usually come and have a look at the bikes on our stand. Very popular show, with massive footfall over the two days. The club usually generates a lot of interest from both Harley riders and non Harley riders. We in Region 14 usually pick up new members from it.
