Under the banner of ‘Heritage Open Days’, Free to visit and no booking required, a good chance to get out and ride to experience Sussex past's treasures for free during three extraordinary days of public access.
Lewes Castle & Museum, The Bull House Museum, Anne of Cleves House Museum all in Lewes town, FREE for 3 days from & including 8th to 10th September.

Behind the Scenes at Fishbourne Roman Palace. This is a rare & free opportunity to drop in to the Collections Discovery Centre ( not the Palace itself) to have a behind the scenes look and meet the conservators as they work on archaeological artefacts as part of the Heritage Open Days scheme. Just 3 afternoons 1pm to 4pm on 15th ,16th, 17th September. A good pre-requisite to visiting the Palace itself.

The Marlipins Museum, Shoreham. Explore the oldest secular building in Britain and discover more about the maritime history of Sussex for free, a unique collection which sheds light on the area’s rich maritime history, with objects collected from shipwrecks off the coast of Sussex and further afield. All as part of Heritage Open Days scheme. Free, 17th September between 11am and 3pm.
