IOW - Places to Stay

My good lady would like me to take her to the IOW for a few days in the Summer. Its a distinct possibility I will bring the Harley. Can anyone recommend, a nice friendly hotel, where we can get to a town easily if we want a few drinks and don't want to ride/drive.
