sad to read this ,,,, for once i though they got it right ,,,think i will stick to older bikes,,

i had a seat come loose on my Bullet ,, but that was made in India and cost pennys compared with HD,,

feel for anyone spending that amount and finding a major machining fault, the could wreck the motor

Sounds like a typical moco job of repair things for those that complain. Its cheaper than a recall. By the time that engine is 20yrs old, it should have all the defects worked out of it.

Recalls tend to be safety related. And then only if mandated, Manufacturers are not given the option. Everything else is done on the quiet during routine services whilst under warranty, if at all. The one and only reason to get new bikes serviced by the manufacturer for the first couple of years.
