Mince Pies

Yes, if you make it to the London Region meet this coming Thursday - 16th Dec - there will be a warm welcome and mince pies.

Only the best of course.
At the beginning of the month my newspaper ran a taste test of mince pies from 7 major retailers. One got only 2/10.
But the ajudged best, with a 9 out of 10 score, was Sainsburys 'taste the difference' ones - so that's what your Asst. Rep. has purchased!
So come on down and indulge.

For those members unable to make it, on behalf of Mike (Rep) and myself, let me take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Xmas & HNY. Dave

Since when has the morning star been reviewing mince pies? :hopelessness:

Sorry i wont be there, but i. Sure mike will manage to eat mine. Catch you at the essex party in feb.

No such luck HT. I now take the Socialist Worker.

These days they've moved on a bit. They now do some interesting comparison tests for those grow-your-own foodie recipes, as well as the usual 'Up the Workers' editorials.
They also do upmarket restaurant reviews; what million pound yacht bargains are currently to be had; what holiday destinations you should be aiming for with that bulging xmas bonus pay packet etc!

Myself and Mike will share your rations.
As you won't be there tomorrow, let me personally wish you a MX&HNY - HT.

I will be on the dakar.

Usually too much salt on the roads for me Harley in mid Feb. So it'll be the scoot or the car.

I said in my original post that I wished those who couldn't make it, a MX&HNY - expecting there to be only a few non attenders.
As it went yesterday, far more of you were unable to make it. So there were quite a few mince pies, for those who did attend, to take home!

Pete, you took away a whole box, I hope you didn't eat them all yourself!
By Saturday my local store had sold out and no more forthcoming.:grumpy:
