As you maybe aware.Due to the continued Covid restrictions. The national AGM as been postponed until a later date.Your thought's are requested on the email I received from the committee.
Dear All Following the further postponement of 'freedom day' and the consequent deferral of the AGM, the committee are aware that many regions are planning casual camping weekends etc, which with the remaining survivors of the rally calendar, means we would not be able realistically to schedule a stand alone AGM until late September. This would then only be a few weeks before the Rep's meeting (30th October, keep your diaries clear, more info to follow...) Therefore, the committee requests that you seek the agreement of the members for the current committee to continue in post, without mandate, until a normal AGM can take place in its traditional timeslot next March. (In other words, we figure you'd all rather be out riding your bikes...) We therefore intend that recent constitutional and policy ammendments agreed by the committee (privacy Notice and data protection policy, agm decisions only being revocable by a subsequent agm, AOBS not being voted on until included in a published agenda etc) be adopted on a temporary basis pending ratification at the next AGM. Any issues arising can be discussed at the reps meeting in October.
cheers Steve.
