I understand now Colin. Hence your giving the bike a good coat of looking at. Any loose connection or bad contact on the starter circuit will usually be accompanied by heating at the place where the bad contact is, that is warm to the touch.

I read that link Colin, hence the query - in fact last night Sue Paul & I discussed the Duct Tape (and the reflection on the shiny bits :wink
So as you had changed the battery I only wondered if it had cured the problem Glad to hear it is now ok.
