Recommended fork oil

I have just ordered a set of progressive springs for my 09 fat bob 1584 and am seeking advice on which fork oil to use? I’ve looked at HD E oil and Screaming eagle heavy oil, but neither give their ‘weight’, I’m about 18 stone if that’s any help?

hi i ran my softail up until recently with 15w and progressives and i am just doing the same on my sporty build and i weigh in at 17 1/2 stone some of the kits come with the oil this time i am using Castrol 15w also when you tip it out to drain forks pump the leg up and down at least 10 times to empty the damper with the springs there is a guide to oil level with it compressed so you get the right air gap using a measurement from the top of the tube much better off the bike to do
screaming eagle oil is according to some 20w
type e is 10w
then all you need to do is sort the preload spacer to length to sort the sag out There will be details in sheet with the kit for spacer length as well as air gap oil height

Just a note some find 20w too stiff for the road but suspension and tyres are a personal thing
