Hi Folks,
We have been discussing an adventure based out of Skipton, North Yorkshire to ride some roads in the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
I have just booked a room for the Mrs and myself in wwwtownhousebandb.co.uk in Skipton from Friday 18th August to Sunday 20th August 2023. Breakfast may be sourced elsewhere. The Curious Fox looks quite good too, watch out for the parking availability at other venues.
Cancellation option on our booking in case of bad weather forecast!
On the Friday will make our way to Skipton after the morning rush hour traffic, making a day of it and all are welcome to join us. However, if you have to work Friday it is easily within riding distance after work. We will decide on a watering hole and arrange to be there at 8pm so anyone can ride up to join us, travelling light with no camping gear. Doesn't matter if we are all in different accommodation, choose your digs according to taste. Focus on town centre.
The Saturday plan is to ride up through the Lake District and back down through the Yorkshire Dales. On Sunday we will make our way steadily homeward via the Peak District stopping off at nice places on the way.
