Softail - re-installing original panniers

Afternoon all

I'm trying to replace the currently small panniers with the larger stock ones on my 2014 Softail (I'm assuming I've bought the correct 2014 stock panniers for my model but if anyone spots I've screwed up just shout!), but I've noticed that with the passenger footboards in place there seems to be a bracket supporting them which doesn't allow the 3rd mounting point to be bolted in. Does anyone know whether it's possible to keep the halfmoon footboards whilst replacing the bracket supporting them with the one I assume must have been on the bike originally?

See photos below to hopefully explain what I'm getting at:

the jersey hd website is a good way to see how things fit together. just type your model and year into the drop down menu's and you get the schematic drawings.
are those the original panniers? there may be a fitting kit if not. good luck.
