Upto 2003 the exhaust has the balance connection at the top of the headers and being rigid mount it probably doesn't matter how the mufflers are supported.
2004 with the rubber mount engines the bracketry is bolted to the engine so the exhaust moves with it. The balance pipe or crossover was moved to the support bracket.
The possible problem is the placement of the master cylinder.
