Some 2021 and 2022 Pan America’s have been known to have their lower radiator hose come into contact with the front exhaust header pipe, resulting in damage to the radiator hose. The attached Technical Bulletin details the MoCo guidance to dealerships on how to remedy this problem. 2023 model year onwards Pan America’s have a revised lower radiator hose set up.
If you own, or are considering purchasing a 2021 or 2022 Pan America, its worth checking to ensure that the work detailed in the attached bulletin has been completed and either insisting the work is completed by the dealer, or doing the work yourself. This isn’t a product recall matter and not all dealerships have technicians that are fully trained and conversant in the Rev Max bikes, so don’t assume that the rectification work was completed just because a bike has been serviced at a dealership. You may have to take the attached bulletin into the dealership to show them what you are asking them to check and do……..
Alternatively, there are some aftermarket solutions to the problem such as the Wunderlich lower radiator hose guard as shown in the photos of my own bike.
