I'm sure that this is preaching to the choir for the old hands, but as a relative newbie, I have to say that I can't speak highly enough of Alf and Anni at Top Joint in Walthamstow.

The Friday before Christmas I broke down in Central London, and after a 3.5 hour wait for RAC recovery I made it to Walthamstow a little after 7.30pm.

Alf not only stayed open for me; in just over an hour he diagnosed and fixed the fault ( a new HT lead and a bit of re-tuning).

Fantastic.
