Evening all,

I’m am trying to identify my transmission my code on top of the gearbox is BS7227 does anyone have any ideas what I have here?

It's a casting number. The only thing we can easily verify is that you have a 1980-86 style five-speed gearbox.
The 5spd clutch release arm on the top of the gearbox sidecover is the clue.
It's very likely your bike has the original 1983 gearbox it came with - despite the later-engine swap.

Thanks mate that’s exactly what I was wondering, if it had its original gearbox despite the engine swap.
