thanx for that! yep ??indespension do a CH751 750 KG, Ta Rob.

The GVW is 750kg, the running weight is 126kg, that would only give a payload of 624kg not the 700+ you wanted, a Road King and a Fatboy together would overload it, and could cause problems.

You need to look for a braked trailer i.e. over 750Kg.

You might do better looking for a straightforward flat bed trailer and adding your own tie down points and channels for the wheels.

Paul.

It's also worth noting that if it's for a business and the total weight exceeds 3.5 tones, you need a tachograph, like in HGVs. Love to know how travelers go on when they have a company name on the van (transit=2.2 ton)+large twin axel caravan.

thanx ???mmmm not as easy as I had hoped, but thanx for the info,
have now just looked in the right direction and a flatbed braked trailer looks like the way to go, puts it in a higher investment sector as one would expect.

The 3.5 tonnes Gross Train Mass applies to vehicles towing trailers containing goods. It doesn't apply to caravans.

If going for a braked trailer, check it has a manual lock to over ride the over run brake.Without that it can be a sod to reverse. If you're reversing up a slope and give it some gas,the spring compresses, and puts the trailer brakes on.
