The Fab Bit...........
We just wanted to say thanks to everyone who turned out for the East Mids Manifold Valley Ride-out and Camp last Saturday (26th June). We do hope you all had a good time, it certainly looked like you did. The weather was amazing, the place was great and the company even better, what more could one ask for. Folk came from near and far to join us and the turn out was fantastic. Here's to the next one (possibly in September - TBA).
The Sad Bit..........
East Mids member Nick Ruchardson came off his bike returning from the ride-out about a mile from the site. The road was closed off at Hartington whilst the Air Ambulance landed in a sports field nearby. Nick was taken off to hospital and is still there. His injuries are nowhere near as bad as they could have been and he will be OK, thank goodness. He didn't break anything, but he's got a nasty burn hole in the top of his foot, a knee injury and numerous grazes and bruises as you would expect. His bike, like Nick, suffered injuries too, but also not as bad as it could have been. We reckon he's a very lucky chap, although it may not seem like that to him now. We all wish Nick a speedy recovery, we're all thinking about him and hope to see him up and about very soon. Come on Nick, hurry up, it's Club Night on Sunday!
