Broken mainshaft

My XG clocked 8015 miles today when the mainshaft stripped and with it the drive as well :grumpy: grrr luckily I still have 3 weeks of the warranty left so lind can foot the bill. Not impressed though...such low mileage for such an important part.....I have a 60 year old panther and it's still on the original gearbox!!!!

Sorry to hear that, if you get any chance to find out if there is a weakness to be aware of please let us know. Could be a freak occurance, hope you didn't get stranded badly.

The Pulley has sheared but when this happened the Engine over-revved and has bent 3 valves....Lind Harley have recommended total Engine replacement to Harley UK.....
