Well would you believe it? Something so simple as swapping saddles could make so much difference.
300+ miles and the XG is so comfortable, I cannot understand why H-D didn't see fit to use the cushioning, used in the Caf? Solo seat, in the first place. After market sales most likely, ( cynical, moi ). However, it's all good news for me and my XG. The seat is angled so you are closer to the tank. Which improves the Feet, Hands, Bum position. This means you can put more weight on the pegs giving a more relaxed riding position. Handling, a XG Forte, seems to be improved too.
Just a quick word on the sweet 60 degree 750 motor. Mileage seems to be the key. The motor has loosened up and fairly flies along now. I would venture that a 883 would have trouble keeping up through the gears. I'm not knocking 883's But I get where H-D were coming from now. It's a right little street sleeper.
Loving the XG 750
