If anyone is thinking about fitting a detachable tour-pak........
Forget about a legal 9"x7" index plate it wont fit. If you keep the upright plate support and shim the Tour-Pak up on spacers about 1/2" you will just about get a 8"x6" plate in there. With a lay down plate a 7"x5" will fit, maybe even a 7"x5.5".
Fitting the Tour-Pak is pretty much a POP, as it comes with pretty good instructions. I did have to lose a spacing washer on the rear docking point to make it fit properly.
oh and even though I got stung by ?114 inport duty/tax/VAT, I still saved ?180 on getting it from M&M Cycles in the USA. Thats working on what it would have cost VAT and post free from Guernsey. Thats for the complete kit, Tour-Pak, Docking Hardware, Detachable Rack, and inner rubber mat.
Shame I didnt get away with the taxes I would have saved ?294
