Free Wheeling Kempen Rally August 4th-6th 2023

Those going to the Free Wheeling Kempen this coming weekend note the following:

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to the weak 4G signal it is NOT POSSIBLE to PAY ELECTRONICLY at the rally.
There is nearby banking terminal in the center of Retie.

So take your Euros, shekels, groats etc.

I'll be making a long weekend of it so going on Thursday but a few are travelling in Friday.

Noting the above issue, be mindful that now everyone will be carrying quite a bit of cash around at the rally so be particularly vigilant about where you stash it overnight and don't leave it unattended in your tent.

This rally has not got a reputation for theft (as do other Rally's), but don't let you be the one.

Despite the heavy rain on Saturday we had a great time at the Freewheelin Kempen! Bill, Judy PP and myself made a long weekend of it staying over in Bruges on the Thursday and again on Sunday. The muddy track getting into the camping area was 'interesting' but we managed without incident. Bands and entertainment were top class and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed.
