MT500 Sprocket nut refusing to budge!

Hi All

Asking this for a mate down in Devon..

He's attempting to shift the front sprocket nut on his MT500, jumping on an extension bar I believe but its just not budging.

Is there a trick to getting these off, not by any chance a left hand thread ???

As its on the right side of bike I would have thought it would be clockwise to remove.

Woah...! My mate is indeed a surfer and yes, he's shifted the nut however he's not called Mick. But I wonder:60277EB7B04744289C0......
