Pinion gear not engaging with ring gear.

Any ideas folks..............
The pinion gear doesn't engage with the ring gear.
Had the starter out and replaced solenoid and clutch, also decided to use a single piece jack shaft from custom chrome.
Electrically OK, seems to be a throw out problem.

Try checking the length of the custom chrome jack shaft against the stock one and that the coupling ring is the right way round as the clip in the center is offset and that could do it

Because I'm using an 84 tooth ring gear from Primo on an internal belt drive primary, most other producers of pinion gear don't have the meshing depth, so installed a Primo jackshaft with their 10 tooth pinion gear........................Bingo problem solved
