Reg a sportster advice needed

Hi I’ve inherited an early 80’s 1100
It was bought by my dad 20yrs ago it been sat in his shed ever since
It did have a USA title and was bought of an airman on a local base it came on with his personal belongings so no nova
The title has gone into the mists of time
How do I even start to reg it

You need to find if the nova duties have been paid. otherwise it could cost you monies!
