Good afternoon,

Hope everyone is well.
I am a Specialist Palliaitve Care Healthcare Assistant working in the Gt Yarmouth/Waveney area.
We have a patient in the community with MND (Motor Neuron Disease) who has expressed a wish to get back onto a motorbike. He has not been on one for a while due to being in a wheelchair.
My question is...would someone be able to offer a ride out for this patient on a sidecar that would take his wheelchair?

No worries if not

Thanks

Hi Angie

A sidecar to take a chair would be a bit specialist, however would the patient be able to sit in a normal sidecar ?

I am facing the same dilemma with a WW2 veteran who turns 100 this spring, I am planning for the wheelchair to be carried separately - maybe find a sidecar outfit with a towbar, several do have them and then trailer the chair..?

Thanks everyone for your responses, He cannot transfer without a hoist unfortunately so maybe I'll have to try something else. No worries Thanks thought xx
