RIP Duane Eddy

Paul P.

H-DRCGB Archivist
Just found out Duane Eddy died a couple of days ago at 86. to be honest I'd thought he'd already gone. Did see him at a music pub in the seventies in Twickenham and enjoyed hearing him play. Tonight will dig out my greatest hits LP and fire up the record player.

I heard about it on the Radio very sad one of the great pioneers of Rock and Roll

He was often called the King of Twang due to his way of bending the string. A great Rock n Roll guitarist that this world will miss

Tony Vincent of CSA used to twang out some of his great tunes at venues around South London as Paul will remember.

Well done Duane, 86 is a fine age, poor Tony didn't make it to 50.

God I'm feeling old now!
You're not alone ----

Just out an about, not listening to the King of Twang but just watched Rainbow rising and Deep Purple tribute band so my Heads full of Stargazer and Kill The King along with Child in time
