Hi folks I may be getting a 1999 evo softail standard. I was thinking of putting a S&S super e carburetor on it . How does this effect the bike and the vos system

The S&S intake manifold that comes with the complete carb kit now has a drilled port and fitting for VOES hookup.
Older manifolds had a dimple that you drilled to install a brass fitting yourself to attach VOES line.
It's not an issue. There is no reason to not run the VOES.
Follow carb installation instructions to the letter. Do not make any carb adjustments until rocker boxes are warm/hot to the touch, otherwise you will scratch your head for days. And be prepared.....adjustments with idling warm/hot engine risk finger burn, so have the right tool ready to use .... in my case way back when i bent a cheap blade screwdriver so as to easily and harmlessly access idle speed screw. You don't want to be all set to make an adjustment and find you will get first-degree burns in doing so.
