Club Member Region 20 London Rep
I've just received the sad news that Tony Bateman , aka The Judge passed away last Thursday after a long struggle with cancer.
Tony was a long standing member of our region even after having to give up riding due to ill health.
His family have asked for an escort of harleys for his last journey and I will post details of his funeral as soon as I get them .
I knew Tony for close to twenty years and know that he will be sadly missed..
My sincere condolences to his wife Pam and to Glen & Natalie and families

Mike

So sorry to hear this, Tony was one of the good guys, a great asset to the London region and supporter of many Triple rally’s Rip my friend

RIP Tony.
He was a stalwart representative of the London Region on rideouts and at both the Triple and the International rallies.
Always going down to Eastbourne, on the Thursday, with the small London contingent, who along with the Coasters, would help set up the Triple rally site. He was never a real ale man, preferring his beer to be of the keg variety, which I/we teased him about.
He referred to himself as 'Batters' - his surname being Bateman. But the Region having more than one Tony, we all knew him as 'The Judge'.
This came about as he would sit for a few days of the month as a magistrate. He had had to give up riding his Harley prior to covid. But now hopefully riding somewhere in Harley Valhalla.
