Region Meets continue into the Autumn: the details are:
The Cock Inn, Hanwood, Shrewsbury SY5 8LJ 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm. 8th Sept and 13th Oct
Bryn Arms Pub, Gellilydan, LL41 4EN 2nd Sunday of the month. 12.30 for 1pm. 11th Sept and 9th Oct
The Swan Inn, Gwernymynydd, CH7 5LB 3rd Sunday of the month. 6.30pm. 18th Sept and 16th Oct.
Charity Ride Out 1st Oct
A special event for a great cause - Ride To The Wall (RTTW) is a unique motorcycling fundraising ride with an organised group to the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) in Staffordshire to pay respects. Open to all motorcycles, with a voluntary contribution of £10. You can register and donate in advance or ‘pay at the gate’. It’s likely that some of our members will be attending with local meet up points, so let us know if you are interested.
Region Committee Meeting 10th Oct
Committee members, Al Lloyd, Neal Benting, Colin Turnbull, Andrew Sutherland, Jason Wild and Trish Fanthorpe are holding a Zoom meeting on 3rd Oct for a general catch up and planning session. If you want anything raised – let your local Rep/Asst Rep know.
Club Officers’ Meeting 29th Oct
Al and some of the Committee will be attending the Nation Club Officers’ Meeting at 12 :30 at the Alcester Town Hall on 29th October. We’ll let you know what’s on the agenda when we receive it and ask you if you want to raise anything.
Motorcycle Live NEC, Bham, 19 -27th November
Another regular for us, the Motorcycle Live Show at the National Exhibition Centre is a great event.
Thoughts on a family social?
I’m thinking of organising a non-bike family social event, perhaps in Oct, or in the New Year. It will be difficult to find something that’s accessible to the whole region… but I’m thinking Chester Zoo.
What are your thoughts on that?
Christmas Party!
It’s booked for Saturday 14th January 7-30pm at Weston Pools Fishery, Oswestry, with a band, DJ and food! Book a room at nearby Premier Inn or Pods/camper space on site.
