smoked indicators????

Good evening all

I have just purchased a 2008 night rod special.....i want to change the original indicators for smoked ones.....but i am having trouble sourceing some as i have been told i must purchase one specific for the night rod model??

Is this true and if so does anyone know where i can get some.

The fronts are out of the Harley parts bin and are the same across models , the rears are unique to v-rods.
