Just ordered a stainless engine bolt kit for my Street Bob.... I've done a search but am not certain which would be best, copper grease or Loctite (blue)?

Any help would be appreciated! Nik

Re: Stainless bolts-copper grease or loctite?

Where did you get the stainless kit from?

Cheers,
Rob.

From D Middleton & Sons www site.

http://www.stainlessmiddleton.co.uk/lubrication page.htm

NOTE
LUBRICATION
Stainless bolts are supplied totally degreased hence lubrication is essential on assembly. Molybdenum Disulphide grease or 'Copper slip' is suggested - Doubly essential with self locking nuts. 'Loctite' replaces lubricant if used.

Middletons will sell you a screw gauge for a few ?, so you can identify any screws or bolts on your bike, so you can replace it all at your own speed !
Looks brill when the whole bike's done.:D

Cheers for that. I'll have a look at one of those.
