Just right for rallying, no need for a tent. I think it says St Johns Ambulance at the front of the lid. Ambulance sidecar outfits were used during WW1.

Harley also provided some big Model U's with sidecars to the British Red Cross in WW2 to take convalescing servicemen out on day trips.
