Last april I went for a spin on the sx and the gearbox went fubar on me. (Apparently I am very good at breaking things, i already jammed the 250 the year before).
While that was being repaired.. we thought of the oilpump. The oilreservoir wasnt on it when i bought the SX and the coil was sitting in that spot.
Ofcourse it runs without an oilpump, you just have to mix oil and fuel in the tank. The more oil, the more smoke and i was really getting fed up with replacing sparkplugs every 20 miles or so! (even WITH the right mixture!)
Solution: oilpump rebuild!
We took an oilpump and reservoir of another sx 125 and started to put it on.
The coil goes back to where it belongs: under the seat.
Below you find the men working on my 125 (yes, i let men do my dirty work. I take pictures!) and all that is left to do now is get a longer cable to attach to the pump and get it running. The bike will run end of this week and I am taking it to the Poker Run in 3 weeks!
