Tony`s funeral has now been confirmed for 3pm on the 6th of March at the Jamison chapel , South West Middlesex crematorium ,Houndslow Road, Feltham, TW13 5JH . and afterwards at Sunbury golf club Charlton Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex,TW17 8QA .

As I said in my previous post Tony`s family have asked for a motorcycle escort for his last journey and the arrangements for those wishing to do so are below.

Meeting at the Fountain Beefeater pub , corner of Sixth cross & Stains Road, Twickenham,TW2 5PE at 1,45 pm , we aim to get to the family home by just after 2pm to park up and be ready for the arrival of the hearse .

The family have asked for no flowers to be sent on the day but instead a donation to the " Princess Alice Hospice " would be appropriate if wished .

Also a "splash of red " on clothing in tribute to Tony would be appreciated .

If you are able to attend can you please let me know so that I can pass the numbers on to the family please .

Dont own anything red, other than a santa suit. I dont think thats apropriate, although tony would probably laugh.

Will wear my orange top.

A big thank you to everyone that turned up for Tony's funeral today ,

Quite a good mix of mourners; spoke with several - family, friends, neighbours, ex-work colleagues and his Harley mates.

If you were looking down Tony, I'd like to think that we all gave you a good send-off.

Has anyone put something together for the 'Quin? at times like this it can get overlooked.

My reflection was it was wonderful to see Tony Dowden back on one his bikes. He’s has been one of the tremendous people of the group that I used to ride with until my work commitments got in the way.
When I retire guys. I will hopefully join you all for some ride outs, I forgotten how secure riding as a group is and the brotherhood with our fellow riders. Tony Bateman would be proud of us looking down and he was a really good guy.
I will keep in touch
Matthew
