Wheel fitment 86 to 98 Sportster

I have the opportunity to obtain a pair of cast wheels from a 86 Sportster. Can anyone advise with certainty if these will fit my 98 xlh Sportster please ???

86 sporty wheels were 9 spoke with the 96 on becoming 13 spoke they may fit with just a bearing and spacer change but the alignment would need serious scrutiny as the 86 models were chain driven and later belt driven and same check for disc as i cant verify hub width but ask em for the measurement for the rear it will tell so you can measure yours also the brake disc center is a different diameter on earlier sportys compared to later

If you are going with the discs from those wheels check carefully, cracks appeared between drilled cooling holes regularly!
