Windscreen

Hi all, just fitted a windscreen to my sporty and I'm looking through it rather than over which will be a laugh when dirty, if I cut it what should the height be in relation to my swead, but also to keep wind out of eyes and ears, surely looking over is better than through but I still want to keep the benefits?

the usual rule is the top of the screen needs to be the same level as your nose when sitting on bike
