Re: Xl88"

Excellent tune by Boz ... Always amazes me when customers don't want to have their new builds tuned on a dyno. I had one a while ago who told me that 'dynos are mechanically unsympathetic'. This build was in big trouble before it saw a dyno - they are an essential part of any build process. I love Mikuni HSR carbs and this is a perfect example of what can be done with them on a dyno ... an increase of about 28 ft/lbs of torque and 20 HP !!!!!!!!! This must have been a wild ride ...

Re: Xl88"

The original jet settings were just for running it in so there was always plenty of scope for improvement. The motor would spin up very quickly so it was good to keep it in check by not over revving it during the break in miles.

88" mk2 is currently in progress though it will be an EFI version with a Power Vision this time around.

By by the way, I've rung a couple of times but you've been away. I'll catch up with soon about the clutch
