what have you done to your bike today?

Re: what have you done to your bike today?

Nothing to my bike , but got jimbo's Roadking running sweet again, had to rob the engine temp sensor of my glide and a wee trip to kingdom of fife and rideout with Robbo n jimbo to anstruther for ice cream , then through to Tams to find the source of his engine rattle ......... Traced to the headlamp eyebrow :169B9ADF431545348BC , Tam was ready to invest heavily in new lifters , he almost cracked a smile at the zero cost fix😜

Re: what have you done to your bike today?

Gave it a good clean after the Dart rally, but the alarm kept going off and had problems starting it, so I changed the batteries in the fobs, drama over.

I started carrying a couple of spare CR2032 after reading about someone on here having similar problems with both fob batteries going flat at the same time.

Must get some more spares .........

I have that issue but it's the fob not the batteries. The little bit of metal that keeps the battery in place isn't very good at its job. Need a new fob casing cos the previous owner wrecked mine.

But yeah it's a piss take when you can't ride your own bike cos the alarm keeps going off!

Learn how to bypass the immobiliser and alarm with the indicator switches (change the 5 digit code to something you can remember). You will then not get stuck if a problem with the remote or batteries.
Also use that method about once a week so you remember how to do it.

I agree, its useful, just in case.
I know at least one member that has it printed and laminated and keeps it in his wallet (not that it gets opened very often) as an aide memoire.
I keep meaning to do one and add my breakdown cover details etc on the back.
