Could it be as early as 75 Paul.? I bought it new in Sept 77 when I was 18 (Reg LJV 530R) for ?399 but I recall I had to order it as I specifically wanted the orange colour.

Harley had distinct tank markings for a few years in the 70s. A zebra crossing in 1973, multi-coloured rainbow in 74 (the year I bought my first Harley new), then your style in 75.

According to this brochure 1976 had a variation on the multiple stripe, but 1977 they seem to have dropped stripes for a simpler style.
