Just got off the phone with the DSA to clear some things up, hoping my mind would be put at ease.

If I pass after jan 19th I will have an A1 license which only entitles me to 125cc for 2 years. After those two years are up, I can do another test to entitle me to an a2 license which allows unto 35Kw which is fine for me.

2 year wait... Jesus, that didn't put my mind at rest!

It has got me wondering, how the hell are they going to enforce this unless coppers run the plates of every bike they see to check what license the owner has and the specs of the bike?

You can appeal however when I read the appeal note it wouldn't have gone through for the issue I had.
